About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hauling Manager to join our team at Metromont, LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing hauling staff to ensure work is completed efficiently and consistently with our company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate hauling operations to meet customer demands and company objectives.
  • Read and interpret erection drawings to ensure accurate storage and transportation of precast concrete products.
  • Update tracking spreadsheets to optimize yard space and minimize delays.
  • Coordinate with the Tool Room to unload materials and equipment upon arrival at the plant.
  • Investigate and resolve customer or shipper complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Arrange for repairs and routine maintenance of transportation vehicles to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Comply with all transportation-related regulations, safety rules, and government regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicles, schedules, and completed orders.
  • Stay up-to-date on all safety regulations and ensure compliance throughout the hauling operations.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with eligible third-party DOT drivers to ensure a reliable and efficient transportation network.
  • Ensure all drivers have the necessary qualifications and certifications to operate safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all hauling operations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous transportation experience, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to coach and train others.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in work schedules, tasks, or processes.
