Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Officer to provide exceptional support to the County Manager. This is a unique opportunity to join the Bernalillo County team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality services to our residents, communities, and businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate a detailed calendar of events for the County Manager, ensuring timely and effective delivery of services.
  2. Establish priorities and communicate assignments to team members, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
  3. Research, analyze, and compile information for review and action by the County Manager.
  4. Attend meetings, take minutes, and prepare reports, packets, and other documents as required.
  5. Handle confidential issues, maintain official and confidential documents, and ensure the integrity of sensitive information.
  6. Schedule training and travel, procure supplies and services, and review and prioritize mail.
  7. Organize work, set priorities, and meet critical deadlines.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field, plus five years of professional experience in an administrative capacity.
Working Conditions
  1. Work is performed indoors in a temperature-controlled environment.
  2. Essential duties are performed on an even surface, with a dry working surface.
Equipment and Tools
  1. Typical office equipment, including telephone, computer terminal, printer, keyboard, photocopy machine, fax machine, and calculator.
  2. Files, forms, reports, and basic office supplies.
