We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Manager of Emergency Communications to join our team at Bernalillo County, NM. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing overall administrative direction for our communications programs, projects, services, and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures for overall administration.
- Formulate and implement policy and procedures for all department sections in accordance with county, state, federal, and other applicable requirements.
- Coordinate departmental operations with local, state, and national groups as well as County departments.
- Provide management and supervision to all Emergency Communications departmental staff.
- Ensure effective working relationships with all personnel within the organization and with organizations external to the agency.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Emergency Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
- Eleven (11) years of work experience in Emergency Management, Project Management related to communications systems, Public Safety Dispatching, E9-1-1, and 700 MHz radio communications, and/or microwave communications.
- Three (3) years in a managerial role.
- Most essential duties are performed primarily indoors.
- Duties are performed in a temperature-controlled environment.
- Duties are performed on an even surface, which may be carpeted or tile.
