Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and uphold a clinical pharmacy practice that encompasses: Consultation on drug therapies for patients and healthcare providers; Engagement in drug utilization initiatives to promote effective prescribing and achieve health outcomes; Delivering continuing education and training sessions for pharmacists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals; Providing drug-related information to healthcare providers and patients; Conducting critical reviews of medical literature to update drug therapy practices; Documenting all clinical interventions and inquiries accurately; Demonstrating ongoing proficiency in specialized pharmacy practice areas.
This position is integral to the Primary Care Clinical Pharmacy Services.

Qualifications:

Experience
  • A minimum of one (1) year of residency in a relevant practice area, or three years of clinical practice experience is required.
Education
  • A Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (PharmD) is mandatory.
License, Certification, Registration
  • Pharmacist License (District of Columbia) must be obtained within 4 months of hire.
  • Pharmacist License (Virginia) must be obtained within 4 months of hire.
  • Pharmacist License (Maryland) is required.
  • Board Certified Pharmacy Specialist Certificate must be achieved within 36 months of hire.

  • At least one (1) year of experience in a hospital environment is preferred.
Work Schedule: Full-time, Day Shift
Workdays: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 08:30 AM to 05:00 PM
