Job Summary:

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Clinical Audiologist to join our team at Largo Medical Center in Maryland. As a Clinical Audiologist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with hearing, balance, and related disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients' audiologic function, interpret findings, and review test results with patients or responsible adults.
  • Document patients' case history, test results, and recommendations for follow-up in the medical record and report results and recommendations to referring physicians and/or primary care physicians.
  • Counsel patients about treatment options for hearing loss and refer patients to the ear, nose, and throat department for consultation when appropriate.
  • Educate patients about hearing conservation and vestibular rehabilitation exercises.
  • Perform and interpret electro physiologic and special tests of the peripheral and central auditory system.
  • Evaluate hearing status of infants and young children with an appropriate comprehensive battery of tests.
  • Counsel patients regarding hearing aid device options and evaluate patients' hearing aids when appropriate.
  • Additional specialized duties may include programming and fitting implantable devices, fitting, programming, and troubleshooting hearing aids and assistive listening devices, and advanced vestibular assessment.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree and a minimum four (4) years of experience in audiology required for current employees, or an Au.D. for new hires.
  • National Provider Identifier, Basic Life Support from American Heart Association, and PECOS Enrollment within 3 months of hire are required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in vestibular testing, behavioral pediatric assessment, and Auditory Evoked Potential testing is preferred.
