Job Overview

UMMS Providers/Physicians is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Oncology Breast Clinic team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with breast surgeons, medical oncologists, and radiation oncologists, and contribute to a compassionate and supportive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, evaluate, and manage patients with benign breast disease, breast cancer, and high-risk breast cancer due to family history or genetic mutation.
  • Provide independent care in an outpatient setting, seeing approximately 10-15 patients per clinic day, including new patients and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Order, perform, and interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing, and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Participate in educational programs and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and advancements in breast cancer care.
Requirements
  • Master of Science degree with completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Two (2) years of experience working as a Nurse Practitioner, with a minimum of 1 year in oncology or women's health.
  • Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse.
  • Current NRP and PALS certifications.
  • DEA and CDS eligibility.
