University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in providing clinical and operational pharmacy services to optimize safe and effective drug therapy in various clinical settings.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess patient-specific data to evaluate medication needs and verify medication orders.
- Oversee the preparation, dispensing, distribution, and monitoring of all medications.
- Provide drug therapy consults, patient/family/staff education, and facilitate transitions of care.
- Precept pharmacy students and residents.
- Current Maryland license in good standing as a pharmacist.
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
- Completion of post-graduate pharmacy residency in hospital pharmacy practice desirable.
- Additional training or certification (board certification in an area of practice) also desirable.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a pharmacist in a hospital with clinical pharmacy responsibilities.
