Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our development team in Charlottesville, VA. This is an exceptional opportunity to become part of a thriving organization with a strong market presence.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop solutions for new and existing projects while adhering to company best practices and coding standards.
  • Collaborate with the team to complete projects and improve overall development processes.
  • Mentor less experienced team members and ensure they follow company best practices.
  • Document software functionality and understand business needs to build software that supports those needs.
  • Support, analyze, and debug field issues as assigned.
  • Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional software development experience using C# and the.Net Framework.
  • 3 - 4 years of experience working with Entity Framework or EF Core.
  • Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design.
  • Experience with client-server development, low-level network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP), and Windows Server 2016 or greater.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work well in teams with high-performance standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with game development platforms such as Godot or Unity.
  • 5+ years of experience in a gaming or gaming-related industry.
  • 2+ years experience in embedded or device interface development.
  • Experience working with Windows Embedded OSs, including WES 7 and IOT.
  • 2 - 3 years working with PostgreSQL.
