Key Responsibilities- Telephone and Message Coordination: Answer and route telephone calls and messages in a timely and efficient manner.
- Insurance Verification and Pre-Authorization: Coordinate insurance verifications and pre-authorizations to ensure seamless patient care.
- Medical Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and prepare charts/paperwork as needed.
- Insurance Company Communication: Work effectively with insurance companies to obtain and verify pre-certification/authorization for services.
- Confidentiality and Security: Maintain the confidentiality and security of patient information, adhering to HIPAA standards.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; College degree preferred.
- Experience: 1 year of office/clerical experience in a healthcare field required.
- Skills: Exemplary customer service skills, including the ability to negotiate and problem-solve; strong attention to detail; ability to work within deadlines with frequent interruptions.
