About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our Sustainability Infrastructure Building Solutions & Technologies business, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely and within-budget completion of construction projects.
  • Resource Allocation: Determine resource levels to attain schedule milestones and monitor workforce levels to ensure conformance with the construction plan.
  • Change Management: Control change/scope creep, ensuring that all scope changes are quickly and properly documented and that change orders are approved prior to the performance of work.
  • Safety and Security: Implement site safety and security procedures and project work rules, and play an active role in the development of the safety program.
  • Customer and Subcontractor Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and subcontractors, ensuring high customer satisfaction and effective communication.
  • Financial Management: Ensure that assigned projects are done accurately, on-time, billed, within budget, and within scope of the contract, maintaining profitability goals and positive cash flow.
  • Leadership and Communication: Provide leadership by demonstrating focus on exceeding customers' expectations, effectively communicating the status of assigned projects to stakeholders, and fostering good working relationships with subcontractors and internal teams.
Requirements
  • Education: Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or an Associate's Degree with equivalent work-related experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of direct project management experience in the Building Construction Industry, with management experience in projects related to HVAC controls, BAS management, Fire management, and Security management systems.
  • Skills: Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience, proficiency in Project Management software and financial accounting systems, and strong personal computer working capabilities in MS Office, Adobe Writer, Visio, and basic Windows environment.
