About the Role
AECOM is seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Inspector to join our team. As a Senior Construction Inspector, you will be responsible for providing construction engineering and inspection services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide construction engineering and inspection services to clients, including preparation of correspondence, reports, and recommendations.
- Lead and manage a team of inspectors, providing guidance and direction on construction issues.
- Establish and maintain project records, including inspection reports and audit findings.
- Serve as a technical expert in field inspections and audits, providing guidance and direction to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and implement audit strategies for individual areas of expertise.
- Represent AECOM as an external spokesperson on technical project issues.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in a relevant field, plus 10 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including two years of leadership experience.
- Valid US driver's license required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.
- Experience working with transportation agencies, such as the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT), is preferred.
- Experience supervising or managing less experienced inspectors is preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules as needed for projects, including overnight work.
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification, Engineer In Training (EIT), or Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
- NICET certification (or ability to obtain required level) is preferred.
