About the Role

As a representative of Southern Utah University, you will build and maintain positive working relationships with local and regional businesses, the campus community, and the athletics department. Your primary focus will be on revenue generation and cost containment for the business operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an annual business plan to maximize revenue, exposure for the institutional brand, and value to corporate partners.
  • Manage expenses according to an agreed-upon annual budget.
  • Manage sponsorship fulfillment and execution, including direct client services duties for sponsor accounts.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for the institution's current sponsors.
  • Manage reporting of financial information for sales revenue and operations of the program.
  • Plan and manage internal communications and awareness of corporate and University direction, mission, and goals in the marketplace.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with top University Administrators.
  • Prospect, schedule, and conduct initial discovery meetings with new businesses.
  • Negotiate with new businesses to secure new sponsors.
  • Draft and coordinate agreements, managing all relevant information in our database.
  • Fulfill the terms of agreements that provide advertising, marketing, and promotional benefits to sponsor businesses.
Requirements
  • Experience working in marketing, advertising, sales, or events.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings, weekends, and on rare occasions, holidays.
  • Great interpersonal communication skills and professionalism.
  • Energetic and self-motivated attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
