Position Summary:
As a CNC Machining Specialist at Q LLC, you will be integral to our production process, operating and configuring CNC machinery to manufacture high-quality firearm components. This role demands technical proficiency, meticulous attention to detail, and a steadfast commitment to upholding the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • CNC Operation: Manage CNC machines to execute various tasks including cutting, drilling, milling, reaming, and boring.
  • Quality Control: Implement mechanical and/or programming adjustments to ensure components adhere to quality specifications and organizational standards.
  • Process Enhancement: Propose modifications to processes aimed at boosting productivity and quality.
  • Safety Standards: Foster a safe and healthy work environment by complying with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Troubleshooting: Initiate and monitor machine operations to identify malfunctions or deviations, adjusting machine settings as required.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Analyze blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to ascertain dimensions, tolerances, and setup needs.
  • Surface Treatment: Utilize various hand tools, power tools, and machines to grind, file, or sand metal surfaces.
  • Material Management: Handle materials and maintain an orderly and clean workspace.
  • Tool Care: Recognize and replace damaged or worn tools, making necessary adjustments.
  • Setup Execution: Conduct setups of established jobs with minimal guidance.
  • Defect Correction: Inspect surfaces for imperfections, rectify flaws, and smooth uneven areas.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or certification in a relevant field preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in CNC machine operation and troubleshooting.
  • Technical Proficiency: Basic knowledge of G-code and M-code programming, along with the ability to interpret blueprints with GD&T capabilities.
  • Precision Measurement: Skilled in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, fixtures, and gauges.
  • Software Knowledge: Familiarity with SolidWorks/CAMWorks is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • Work Ethic: Self-driven, adaptable to change, and demonstrates a strong work ethic and positive demeanor.
