Job Title: CNC Senior Field Service Technician

At The Robert E. Morris Company, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior CNC Field Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our technical support team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our CNC equipment at our manufacturing customer locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of technical machine issues, encompassing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and machine control systems.
  • Maintain a high level of integrity and customer service while interacting with manufacturing customers.
  • Work remotely from your primary residence to receive dispatches and plan daily service assignments.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment issues and conduct detailed inspections to identify potential problems before they occur.
  • Accurately document all service activities, including equipment diagnostics, repairs performed, parts used, and other relevant information.
  • Enforce all safety guidelines and protocols, both at the customer's site and within your primary residence, to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in CNC technology and attend training sessions as the need arises to improve your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of proven experience as a Field Service Technician, working on CNC equipment and CNC equipment options and accessories.
  • Strong proficiency in fixing and repairing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle a remote work schedule effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or degrees are a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations daily.

Mental and Physical Requirements:
  • Must be highly mobile, able to access all areas of the premises.
  • Ability to concentrate and remain focused while prioritizing multiple tasks, responsibilities, and projects.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Able to perform bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and lifting of moderate to heavyweight material up to 50 lbs. with assistance from equipment or other employees.
  • Ability to frequently use hands and arms.
  • Vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to keep their composure with the public and co-workers in everyday, stressful situations.
