Patient Access Representative II

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative II to join our team in Admissions and Registration. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient access to our medical center.
Key Responsibilities- Perform all registration activities for patients presenting to Admissions and/or outpatient areas, ensuring accurate and timely processing of patient information.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and financial obligations, utilizing electronic and telephonic verification methods.
- Assign and verify medical record numbers, adhering to Cedars-Sinai's Patient Identification Policy.
- Collaborate with physicians and specialty departments to ensure accurate intake of information required for complete registration.
- Provide exceptional customer service, interacting with patients, patient representatives, and insurance companies with sensitivity and attention to detail.
- Meet or exceed cash collection goals, demonstrating proficiency in collection skills and financial management.
- Work and resolve QA error worklist daily, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in patient registration processes.
- High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's Degree in Hospital Administration or equivalent preferred.
- Two (2) years of healthcare experience in Patient Access or Revenue Cycle department, physician office, healthcare insurance company, or related roles required.
- Scheduling flexibility and timeliness, including evening and weekend commitments.
