Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at Community Veterinary Partners. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our doctors in delivering high-quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians in medical, surgical, and dental procedures, including preparing patients for surgery and administering anesthetics.
  • Perform clinical laboratory procedures, such as fecal flotation exams, heartworm checks, and urinalysis, and maintain accurate records of test results.
  • Take radiographs and perform EKGs, and assist in restraining pets when necessary.
  • Counsel clients on animal care, explain medication purposes and dosages, and reinforce proper care procedures.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, inventory drugs and medical supplies, and assist other staff members as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; previous veterinary practice experience preferred.
  • Veterinary Technician licensure (CVT) or ability to obtain within one year from date of hire.
  • Strong communication and technical skills, with ability to work calmly and efficiently in high-pressure situations.
