Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Consultant to join our team at Phil Long Ford Inc. As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for selling and delivering vehicles to customers, while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless sales experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sell and deliver a minimum number of vehicles per month to meet sales targets
  • Provide customers with a comprehensive understanding of vehicle features, benefits, and warranty
  • Process paperwork and complete sales orders in accordance with dealership policies
  • Utilize dealership sales control and follow-up systems to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Attend product and sales training courses to stay up-to-date on new products and services
  • Maintain a prospect development system to encourage repeat and referral business
  • Conduct business in an ethical and professional manner, adhering to federal, state, and local laws governing retail auto sales
  • Establish personal income goals and devise a strategy to meet those goals
  • Stay knowledgeable about new products, features, accessories, and their benefits to customers
  • Ensure that the sales manager has an opportunity to meet each customer
  • Turn 100% of closed deals to finance and insurance manager, along with properly completed paperwork
  • Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring they understand the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork
  • Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance
  • Schedule first service appointments and follow up on post-delivery items to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively
  • Attend sales meetings and maintain a professional appearance
Requirements:
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
