Position Summary: As a Service Technician, you will cultivate the knowledge and skills necessary to assist in the maintenance, installation, and repair of Beckman Coulter products at various customer locations. This entry-level role operates under the close guidance of a manager, regional specialist, and senior engineers, allowing for independent task execution as proficiency is gained. This position is remote-based.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire knowledge of relevant products, customer support, and technical skills essential for performing high-quality preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of instruments.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance and installation tasks, gradually taking on more responsibilities as skills develop.
  • Complete administrative duties, including logging service activities, expense reporting, and inventory management.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, biological science, engineering, or military equivalent is preferred.
  • No prior experience necessary; early-career candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and meet Vendor Credentialing requirements; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as walking, climbing, standing, and bending.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to learn troubleshooting and problem-solving procedures.
  • Experience with safety protocols related to moving parts and electricity.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, with potential overnight stays.
