Job Description and Responsibilities
  • Support a range of large and small credit clients, including issuers, processors and other consumer credit stakeholders.
  • Drive client understanding and engagement in Visa Consumer credit strategy and initiatives, such as the initiatives for affluent credit products, card benefits, and installments.
  • Collaborate with account executives on sales of Visas consumer credit product and solutions by engaging with clients to identify objectives, product gaps, and opportunities.
  • Create US Region specific sales materials and develop business cases as needed to support client conversations.
  • Help clients configure Visas product and solutions to meet clients objectives.
  • Work collaboratively across functional teams including Consulting (Visa Consulting & Analytics), Product management, Co-Brand, Client Delivery, Client Services, Finance, Visa Research and others to develop and execute strategic plans and key initiatives.
  • Lead custom Visa product implementations (e.g. installments, premium affluent platforms) working with clients and various internal Visa teams.
  • Oversee product execution all the way through to implementation and end-consumer adoption/usage.
  • Serve as a consumer credit industry and product subject-matter-expert supporting both internal partners and external clients to address a variety of needs.
  • Engage with clients to provide insights on product and market trends, consumer credit growth strategies, and strategic product considerations.
  • Develop quarterly landscape overviews of the consumer credit marketplace based on market developments, research findings, competitive intelligence, etc. for both internal and external usage.
  • Drive strategy and manage development of analytic resources dashboards, ad-hoc analyses, learning agenda to support content creation and client conversations on the consumer credit industry.
Qualifications
  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD.
  • Background in payments or financial services.
  • Direct experience within product at a credit issuer or processor a plus and/or consulting or strategy experience that involved external engagements.
  • High comfort level and poise in client meetings.
  • Knowledge of the economic drivers of the consumer credit industry economic factors, consumer preferences, and profitability levers.
  • Proven leadership capabilities including effective decision-making, sharing well-articulated views, and driving tangible results.
  • Analytical background and ability to frame complex or abstract concepts in a clear, cohesive framework.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on client success.
  • Comfortable making decisions with limited data, structuring abstract problem statements and defining solution path for execution.
  • Excellent communication skillsability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Project management instinctsrole requires multiple workstreams and a bias toward action.
