Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sterile Processing Manager to lead our Central Sterile Supply department at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our Sterile Processing department, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Central Sterile Supply department, including managing staff, inventory, and equipment.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Surgical Services, Infection Control, and Risk Management, to ensure seamless operations and patient care.
  • Manage budgets and resources to optimize departmental performance and efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying knowledge to improve departmental operations and patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Operations, or related field preferred.
  • 5 years of progressively responsible lead work, supervisory, or management experience in Sterile Processing or Surgical Services required.
  • 7 years of experience managing a Sterile Processing department and/or materials/inventory management department preferred.
  • EPIC/Healthlink experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Sterile Processing Certification (CRCST or CSPDT) upon hire required.
  • Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) certification preferred.
