Job Title: Director, Sterile Processing

UW Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Sterile Processing to lead our Sterile Processing department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational, financial, and programmatic activities of our Sterile Processing department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Sterile Processing department to ensure efficient and effective processing of medical instruments and equipment.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians, academic department leaders, and senior administrators to maintain coordination with other UW Health programs.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff to ensure a culture of patient-centered care and excellence in service delivery.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5 years of management experience in Sterile Processing required; experience in a large academic or complex health system preferred.
  • Certification in Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) management or Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) certification required.
