North Bay Regional Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Developmental Disabilities Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in empowering individuals with developmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

As a Developmental Disabilities Support Specialist, you will provide direct support services to individuals, assisting them with daily living activities, personal care, and skill development. You will also work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized support plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized assistance with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, hygiene, and medication management.
  • Facilitate skill-building activities to enhance independence and community integration.
  • Implement behavior support plans and promote positive behavioral outcomes.
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as social work, psychology, or special education.
  • Or, an Associate's degree and two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Minimum qualifications may be waived depending on the agency's need for specialized skills (such as language abilities).
Special Requirements:
  • Fluency in a language in addition to English is desirable and may be required.
  • Possession of a valid California driver's license, and minimum legal automobile liability insurance required; the ability to provide personal automobile transportation during working hours and after-hours emergencies or access to another form of reliable transportation that meets these minimum legal requirements.

$59,244 - $79,428 with opportunities for 5% increases annually.
