Job Summary:

USA Health is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient registration and access to our medical services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Abide by and enforce all compliance requirements and policies, performing these responsibilities in an ethical manner consistent with the organization's values.
  • Assist with the orientation of new employees and provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Register patients accurately and efficiently, explaining payment policies and reviewing accounts for old debts.
  • Utilize insurance information to ensure correct third-party data entry and obtain required signatures.
  • Verify pre-admitting tests, prepare admission charts and patient cards, and route patients to appropriate ancillary departments.
  • Perform discharge procedures as needed and adhere to Infection Control and Safety Standards.
  • Distribute charts and obtain missing information, operate cash drawers, and balance using an adding machine.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and healthcare team members in person and via telephone.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement activities and adhere to all applicable hospital policies and procedures, including those pertaining to patient confidentiality.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and one year of general clerical experience.
