Immunology Director Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Immunology to lead the scientific development of our Immunology portfolio, encompassing early discovery through late-stage clinical assets. This role will oversee the management of scientists within the group, ensuring the successful advancement of our Immunology pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement models to support in vitro and in vivo pharmacology for autoimmune disease assets.
  • Collaborate with multiple CROs and internal resources to achieve program objectives.
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day activities and long-term development of scientists within the group.
  • Contribute to the proposal of new targets and support their evaluation and validation.
  • Introduce and apply innovative technologies to ensure the group remains at the forefront of scientific innovation.
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in Immunology or a related scientific field with a proven track record of managerial and scientific leadership in the field of immune regulation.
  • Industry experience required.
  • Expertise in drug discovery and development, including hit identification, lead optimization, candidate selection, and preclinical development.
  • Experience with regulatory filings (IND, NDA, or BLA).
  • Demonstrated success in leading pharmacology efforts in autoimmune diseases, including assay development, candidate screening, and mechanism of action studies.
  • Experience with complex in vitro and/or in vivo models is required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, multicultural team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a self-driven, creative, and entrepreneurial mindset.
