Job Title: Fluid Systems Hardware Design Engineer

Quest Defense Systems & Solutions, Inc. is a leading engineering services firm with a strong presence in the industry. We are seeking a skilled Fluid Systems Hardware Design Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented engineer to design and develop fluid systems hardware components, including pumps, actuators, and mechanical controls. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience with CAD software tools such as NX and Teamcenter.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop fluid systems hardware components, including pumps, actuators, and mechanical controls
  • Capture system requirements from customers and incorporate into component design
  • Contribute and present in technical and program reviews
  • Manage suppliers in developing components, keeping cost, performance, life, system requirements, and manufacturability in mind
  • Design and stack-up of component interfaces
  • Direct interface with other internal/external engineering groups
  • Apply technical principles, theories, and concepts to solve a wide range of challenging engineering problems
Requirements:
  • Minimum BS in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering from an accredited university
  • Ability to easily interpret technical models and drawings with understanding of GD&T
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, work under time constraints, maintain composure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to interact with employees/managers at all levels with strong oral and written communication skills
  • Work well in a cross-functional, team-oriented, and collaborative environment
  • Meticulously detail oriented
Desired Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in the mechanical design engineering of fluid or hydraulic system components
  • Experience with CAD software tools such as NX and Teamcenter
Work Environment:

Mostly office environments, occasional shop floor involvement. Substantial amounts of telephone, video conferencing and computer work. Heavily regulated industries with strict adherence to procedures. Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.

Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM. Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.

Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Full compensation package is based on candidate experience and certifications. Pay Ranges $84,975—$101,970 USD
