Job Description

GE Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled Component Test Enabling Hardware Lead Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex products, solutions, and systems for jet engine component and module level development test campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the design, analysis, and evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.
  • Collaborate with other support organizations, including tradesmen, for the fabrication of components related to mechanical rigs, sourcing/vendors for procurement of component design and off-the-shelf hardware, and test operations for setup and execution of test campaigns.
  • Contribute to department initiatives to drive continuous improvement, Lean, and standard work.
  • Participate as a presenter in technical and program level project reviews.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum 5 years of applicable engineering experience in mechanical design, preferably in the aerospace industry.

Desired Characteristics:

  • MS Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across functional boundaries.
  • Passion for engineering of unique aerospace hardware.
