Job Description

As a Systems Engineer - Fluid Dynamics Specialist at GE Aerospace, you will play a critical role in the design and development of complex systems that require a deep understanding of fluid mechanics and dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Layout of Systems: Facilitate the design and layout of all components and systems that are auxiliaries to the main product, including piping, valves, tubes, fluid delivery and removal systems, pumps, actuators, and tooling.
  • Technical Expertise: Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and use prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy and strategy.
  • Business Acumen: In-depth understanding of key business drivers and use this understanding to accomplish own work, as well as understand how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • Problem-Solving: Use some level of judgment and have the ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters, but with guidance. Use prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks and have access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems.
  • Leadership and Guidance: A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provide informal guidance to new team members.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Systems Engineering.

  • Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
