Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative to join our team at Fujisan Marketing. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing new commercial B2B accounts, creating new relationships, and maintaining and growing existing client relationships.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic and growing company that offers a hybrid work arrangement, with 4 days per week in office and work from home Fridays. Our office is located in the heart of Fremont, near many restaurants, bars, and shops.

As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Attaining annual new and existing sales goals based on standards set by Fujisan each year.
  • Attending weekly sales meetings and being prepared to bring/share weekly call activity, progress against sales goals, successes and obstacles, key initiatives, client opportunities, and goals for the coming week.
  • Maintaining, nurturing, and growing new client relationships.
  • 20 outbound touches per day.
  • Making 3-4 prospect meetings each week to identify new business opportunities with new clients.
  • Developing a pipeline of business equivalent to 3-4 times annual quota through pursuit of inbound leads, networking, referrals, and self-generated opportunities.
  • Having an average of no less than 1 "prospect advancement" meeting each week.
  • Entering all existing and new account activity into the CRM within 48 hours and maintaining all customer data, sales activity, and forecasts in the CRM system.
  • Attending required educational seminars.
  • Being active in 2 community marketing organizations.
  • Attending 2 networking events weekly.
  • Focusing on understanding the fit between client needs and firm's capabilities. Creating value propositions that meet the customer's needs.
  • Designing and delivering high-impact presentations that show our unique differentiators.
  • Creating and building relationships with key referral partners.
  • Representing Fujisan at local events and meetings.
  • Gathering and sharing competitive data.
  • Monthly check-in calls with existing book of business.

What we are looking for in a Business Development Representative:

  • 5 or more years of sales experience – professional services a plus.
  • Experience selling to marketers or advertising agencies.
  • Demonstrated record of quota attainment.
  • Successful B2B sales background.
  • Desire to work in an environment that rewards results, loyalty, and maintains high ethical standards.
  • Self-starter able to successfully operate with limited management supervision.
  • Outgoing personality who can develop a network to facilitate growth.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to develop and close accounts.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal, and consulting skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
