Job Title: Advanced Sales Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Sales Director to join our team at Securian Financial Group. As a key member of our sales leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the development and execution of our advanced sales strategy, leading a team of senior consultants, and building strong relationships with our clients and partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement advanced sales strategies to drive business growth and revenue
  • Lead a team of senior consultants to provide expert advice and guidance to clients on advanced sales planning and execution
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders to drive business growth and revenue
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics
  • Provide technical expertise and training on advanced sales concepts and planning strategies
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Must hold either a J.D. or CPA designation
  • FINRA Series 7, 24 and 66 (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
  • 5+ years previous experience in the financial services industry that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
  • Deep knowledge of advanced sales concepts and planning strategies
  • Strong partnership mindset with an aptitude for developing effective relationships with a wide variety of internal and external associates
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills to handle multiple assignments and requests simultaneously, including the ability to appropriately prioritize time-sensitive tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex strategies and financial concepts in an easy-to-understand manner for financial professionals, clients and their tax and legal partners
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Maintains presence and stays current in the greater estate, business, financial products, and financial planning community
  • Initiative, self-awareness, and orientation for results
  • Strong knowledge of individual life insurance, annuity, trust, financial planning, executive benefit, and/or linked benefit products
  • Strong attention to detail, with an ability to perform quickly and accurately under pressure
  • Creative and flexible mindset and a willingness to change priorities when necessary
  • Ability to handle cyclical work volumes with a pleasant and professional demeanor
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time
  • Proficiency in educating and training financial professionals on products, procedures and software used in Advanced Sales plan design and financial planning
  • Ability to work with others in a collaborative team environment
