Position Overview
We are seeking a Commercial Sales Leader for Aerospace Material Solutions in the US. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the development of a robust business strategy tailored for the US market. Your primary objective will be to drive revenue growth for Material Solutions, aiming to elevate it from $5M to $100M over the next three years.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Promoting GKN Aerospace Material Solutions within the US market
- Identifying aerospace opportunities in collaboration with various programs
- Conducting market analysis to monitor competition and trends
- Seeking funding opportunities in the US
- Achieving the annual sales targets set for the US
- Contributing to GKN's commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 and advancing the circular economy
- Exploring non-aerospace opportunities that align with our product offerings
- Leading initiatives to establish production capabilities in the US
- Assisting in the creation and revision of a comprehensive business plan
- Identifying new avenues for business expansion, including partnerships and new products
- Developing sales forecasts and the annual sales strategy
- Maintaining strong commercial relationships with customers
- Generating innovative business ideas
- Managing the bidding process for relevant markets
- Performing additional duties as required
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, preferably Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years in sales, marketing, or commercial roles, or relevant technical experience in aerospace
- US Citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with GKN is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to lead discussions and maintain focus
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly
- Willingness to travel as necessary
