This position will involve a balance between project execution and collaboration with senior leadership on strategic initiatives. As the role progresses, there will be greater accountability for overseeing tasks, teams, projects, and client relationships. This presents an exceptional career advancement opportunity, with potential for rapid growth, collaborating with both management consulting and technical expert teams.

We foresee this individual being located in one of our offices, though flexibility in location is possible. The role will require supporting local, national, and international clients with intricate business challenges. Some travel for internal meetings and client interactions will be necessary, although extensive travel is not anticipated.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design, implement, and enhance enterprise-wide management systems, programs, policies, and standards, leveraging insights from ERM subject matter experts, particularly in the mining/minerals supply chain.
  • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of Responsible Mining Standards and relevant frameworks, including IRMA, TSM, ASI, Copper Mark, RMI, ICMM, ResponsibleSteel, among others.
  • Maintain a robust technical knowledge of environmental compliance and emerging legislative drivers.
  • Engage with clients through interviews at various organizational levels and facilitate presentations, training sessions, and workshops.
  • Oversee multiple projects while adhering to scope, budget, and schedule expectations, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Analyze complex data and trends, distilling them into clear insights and executive summaries.
  • Develop strategic perspectives on demand drivers, integrated services, and proposals for both existing and prospective clients.
  • Foster and maintain client relationships, representing the full spectrum of ERM services while staying informed about trends in environmental, health, safety, and sustainability.
  • Encourage a culture of safety, collaboration, and excellence within the team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in any field, preferably in a hard science.
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in industries such as Refiners/Smelters or Mining.
  • Knowledge of mining/metal supply chain and industry standards.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to create clear deliverables for diverse audiences.
  • Direct experience in developing and executing corporate strategy, organizational design, or process optimization.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic consulting environment, managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Successful candidates exhibit a positive attitude, a commitment to outstanding client service, and a drive to grow the business.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • MBA or a joint master's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Lead Auditor/Practitioner status in ISO 14001, SA 8000, APSCA, or CSCA is advantageous.
  • Experience in data analysis, modeling, and visualization is preferred.
  • Experience in managing technical teams to deliver quality outcomes on time and within budget.
COMPENSATION: For the Senior Consultant, Environmental, Social & Governance position, the anticipated annual base salary ranges from $100,927 to $120,997 USD. Compensation will be determined based on various factors, including education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and performance. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus.
