FLEXSYS America is seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to oversee all maintenance operations at our site. This role reports directly to the Site Manager and is crucial for ensuring that all maintenance services are effectively executed.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering continuous enhancements in both processes and personnel, striving towards the vision outlined for the site.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and prioritize various demands while efficiently allocating resources based on input from Operations, HSES, and Engineering teams.
  • Establish clear expectations for maintenance staff and ensure compliance with these standards.
  • Lead change management initiatives focusing on safety, environmental responsibility, and operational efficiency.
  • Exemplify and cultivate an environment that embodies the core values of FLEXSYS.
  • Implement and utilize processes that empower employees to achieve their maximum productivity in alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Provide guidance to both technical and non-technical team members through effective coaching, development, and accountability.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair budget to achieve annual financial targets.
  • Enhance maintenance capabilities to ensure top-tier reliability and cost-effectiveness by balancing internal and external resources.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to select equipment vendors and establish a spare parts strategy.
  • Develop and lead the reliability program at the site.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, with at least 5 years of relevant industry experience (preferably in the chemical sector) and a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to foster relationships and engage employees across all organizational levels to drive improvements.
  • Outstanding leadership capabilities demonstrated through effective employee coaching, development, and accountability.
  • Strong judgment and analytical skills for making informed decisions to manage risks.
  • Commitment to leading initiatives in health, safety, and environmental stewardship.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) regulations.
  • Proficiency in SAP is preferred.
  • Experience in a unionized environment is advantageous.
