Position Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will oversee, strategize, and manage all facets of the maintenance division. This role is pivotal in ensuring optimal equipment performance to enhance customer satisfaction while minimizing operational costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the maintenance team to achieve organizational objectives through effective coordination of daily operations.
  • Implement and promote safety programs, ensuring compliance with health regulations and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Support plant safety initiatives by collaborating with leadership and ensuring timely completion of maintenance action plans.
  • Manage vendor compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety protocols as per established guidelines.
  • Oversee environmental programs and collaborate with third-party vendors for system management.
  • Drive modern maintenance strategies, including predictive maintenance and root cause analysis.
  • Work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance sector.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels and assess technician skill development.
  • Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, communicating needs and addressing shortfalls.
  • Schedule technician shifts to guarantee sufficient maintenance coverage.
  • Prioritize and manage job orders efficiently.
  • Coordinate the activities of personnel involved in fabricating or modifying equipment.
  • Direct maintenance operations on utility systems to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Conduct inspections of production equipment to verify compliance with operational standards.
  • Manage the requisitioning of tools and supplies, maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  • Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on high-speed production equipment.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems to document and track maintenance activities.
  • Ensure effective operation of the work order system, addressing safety and operational requests promptly.
  • Develop and implement improvements in work instructions and training requirements.
  • Keep team members informed about their assignments and opportunities for growth.
  • Maintain accurate administrative records regarding schedules and inspections.
  • Be available for off-shift and weekend work as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
