Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Provide leadership and management for the maintenance department, ensuring that maintenance objectives are met.
- Maintenance Operations: Oversee the maintenance of building utility systems, equipment, and grounds.
- Preventive Maintenance: Administer a preventive maintenance program to ensure that equipment is properly maintained and running efficiently.
- Work Order Management: Maintain a work order system for maintenance requests and ensure that repairs and projects are completed in a timely manner.
- Team Management: Hire, train, and develop a qualified maintenance staff, and evaluate team members' skill level and performance.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to team members and advise on equipment maintenance and repair.
- Project Management: Oversee capital equipment integration and determine if overtime is needed to support maintenance plans.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience: Ten or more years' experience in industrial maintenance and proven supervision or management experience preferred.
- Physical Demands: The employee is required to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to floor, exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or exert 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Visual Acuity: Near acuity and accommodation are required for reading machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts and machinery.
- Hearing Ability: Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action.
- Working Conditions: The employee is subject to high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment and production components, breathing fumes, dust, and mist, skin exposure to oils and cutting fluids, and welding flashes.
