Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Operations Manager to join our team at Lessing's Hospitality Group. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our catering venues and ensuring the highest level of quality and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Culinary Personnel: Supervise and coordinate the activities of our culinary staff, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants.
  • Purchasing and Inventory Management: Purchase food and supplies from approved vendors and monitor inventory levels to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Menu Development: Select and develop recipes that meet the high standards of our company and appeal to our diverse customer base.
  • Quality Control: Establish and maintain presentation techniques and quality standards to ensure consistency across all our catering venues.
  • Menu Planning and Pricing: Plan and price menus that meet the needs of our clients and ensure profitability.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Safety: Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and that safety and sanitation standards are met.
  • Industry Trends and Innovation: Stay current on industry trends and identify new culinary techniques and presentation styles to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Staff Support: Assist kitchen staff with food preparation and provide guidance and supervision as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 6+ years of experience in an executive culinary role, preferably in a high-volume catering or hospitality environment.
  • Culinary Degree: A culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of current restaurant trends and a passion for culinary innovation.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to provide guidance and supervision to kitchen staff and lead by example.
