This role involves negotiating group rates and contracts, as well as fostering connections with corporate, leisure, and community partners through direct engagement and communication.
Key ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include:
- Participating in relevant trade shows and networking events to promote our offerings.
- Generating new business through proactive sales initiatives, including tele-prospecting and site visits.
- Conducting outside sales calls to local businesses to secure corporate accounts and event bookings.
- Creating and implementing an annual sales and marketing strategy.
- Managing client accounts with precision and attention to detail.
- Utilizing sales tracking tools and property management systems to monitor account activity and prepare reports.
- Responding to inquiries for group accommodations and meetings in a timely and professional manner.
- Maximizing revenue by targeting business opportunities that enhance occupancy during off-peak times.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing clients.
- Preparing detailed group resumes and briefing front desk staff on upcoming group requirements.
- Attending weekly revenue management meetings to provide insights on pricing strategies.
- Collaborating closely with the front office team to ensure cohesive operations and shared objectives.
- Completing additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Sales and General Management.
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Proficiency in standard office software applications.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
We expect you to:
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism and service quality.
- Demonstrate pride in your work and attention to detail.
- Achieve or surpass established revenue and sales targets.
- Effectively execute the annual sales and marketing plan.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the hotel industry, with a preference for those with Marriott or Hilton backgrounds.
- A proven track record of success in a similar sales role.
- A college degree or equivalent educational background.
