Mental Health Counselor

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Counselor to join our Behavioral Health team at The Cowlitz Indian Tribe. As a key member of our team, you will provide individual, family, and group counseling services to our clients, utilizing a variety of strengths-based, culturally responsive therapeutic modalities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments to determine client diagnoses, social, and mental health needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and cultural sensitivity.
- Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and relapse prevention planning as needed.
- Collaborate with other community services and resources to ensure continuity of care and achievement of treatment goals.
- Develop and lead group therapy sessions, adapting to the needs of diverse client populations.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Three years of experience providing behavioral health services, with a focus on working with American Indian and/or Alaska Native communities.
- Licensed to provide mental health services in Washington state.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background screening.
