About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS Cloud Full Stack Developer to join our team at the Federal Reserve System. As a key member of our Enterprise Platforms and Capabilities (EPC) Technology Group, you will play a critical role in promoting innovation and maturity of software development in support of our product and enterprise platform delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable, resilient, and observable applications using AWS services.
  • Build robust UI components that provide a rich user experience.
  • Develop applications with high test automation and code coverage.
  • Migrate applications from on-premises locations to cloud service providers.
  • Develop, modify, and extend code for building cloud infrastructure and automate using CI/CD pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot issues and resolve.
  • Participate in code reviews and collaborate with business and peers to achieve business goals.
  • Perform problem analysis, data analysis, reporting, and communication.
  • Work with peers to define and implement best practices and standards.
  • Assess applications and determine the appropriate application infrastructure patterns.
Requirements
  • Expert-level proficiency with hands-on design and development of full-stack applications.
  • Good proficiency in Java, with Python skills a plus.
  • Expert-level skills in SQL queries in databases like Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Solid hands-on experience leveraging Docker containers.
  • Strong technical skills in software engineering in Java EE/Cloud technologies and proficiency in Java Lambdas, Java Streams API, and Java functional programming.
  • Hands-on experience in building/implementing cloud-native applications, preferably on AWS.
  • Expertise in AWS Compute (Fargate), AWS Storage (S3), AWS Data Integration (Glue), Lambda, Secrets Manager, and AWS Core services.
  • Excellent knowledge in Spark, Databricks Workflows, and Pipelines.
  • Good understanding of AWS Identity and Access Management, AWS Networking, and AWS Monitoring tools.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD and deployment automation using GitLab pipelines.
  • Proficiency in cloud infrastructure provisioning tools like Terraform.
  • Hands-on experience of building distributed systems with microservices, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
  • Passion for developing loosely coupled, testable applications using automated unit tests, integration tests, etc.
