Core Responsibilities:
- Appointment Management: Organize and oversee patient appointments, optimizing the use of available time and resources.
- Phone Communication: Professionally handle incoming calls, addressing patient questions and directing them to the appropriate personnel.
- Insurance Verification and Billing: Confirm patient insurance details, process claims, respond to billing inquiries, and manage payment collections.
- Patient Engagement: Welcome patients, assist with check-in procedures, and provide support with necessary documentation.
- Record Maintenance: Ensure accurate patient records are kept up-to-date and organized.
- Administrative Assistance: Offer general administrative support to facilitate the efficient operation of the front office.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare environment is advantageous.
- Exceptional customer service abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and billing codes.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
