A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT STEWARDING MANAGER:

Our prestigious club is in search of a dedicated full-time Assistant Stewarding Manager. In this role, you will uphold the highest standards of appearance, hospitality, and service for staff, ensuring the cleanliness of all dining and banquet china, glassware, silverware, and cooking equipment. You will oversee and train all stewarding personnel, managing the department's budget with care while developing and implementing strategies to enhance revenues through repeat business and increased check averages.

Your responsibilities will include supervising the activities of all kitchen stewarding employees to guarantee proper washing of wares and pots, sanitation of food preparation and storage areas, as well as managing the inventory of china, glassware, and equipment. Additionally, you will assist with banquet food service and maintain cleanliness in all back-of-house food service areas, including cooking equipment, floors, and surfaces. You will take pride in working within our beautiful facilities, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our members and their guests.

WORK SCHEDULE:

This full-time management position requires flexibility, including variable shifts that may encompass nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Three or more years of supervisory experience in a similar role
  • ServSafe Manager Certification or the ability to obtain it
  • Proficient in using a PC and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Associate degree or higher preferred
  • Experience in a private club setting is advantageous
