Position Title: Kitchen Steward

Job Summary:

The Kitchen Steward plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen environment. This position is essential for ensuring that all kitchen work areas and equipment are kept in pristine condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain floor cleanliness by sweeping and mopping at regular intervals to adhere to safety and sanitation standards.
  • Operate large kitchen machinery, including dishwashers, sanitizers, and trash compactors.
  • Clean and sanitize work surfaces, including tables, walls, and food preparation areas as assigned.
  • Manage waste disposal by segregating trash and ensuring proper disposal in designated containers.
  • Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils, ensuring all items are cleaned to the highest standards.
  • Assist in transferring supplies and equipment, following safe lifting practices.
  • Support banquet and front-of-house setups as needed.
  • Help with the loading, unloading, and delivery of supplies and products.
  • Distribute necessary supplies and equipment throughout the kitchen.
  • Adhere to all sanitation and safety protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
