We are in search of an experienced Construction Superintendent with at least 10 years of expertise in heavy civil, structural concrete, and grading projects. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and self-driven, possessing the capability to devise innovative solutions for both standard and intricate construction challenges while ensuring project momentum.

Experience in heavy civil projects, particularly those involving dams, hydro facilities, water/wastewater systems, and fish hatcheries, is preferred. Essential skills include knowledge of dewatering, excavation, large diameter pipe installation, and complex concrete structures, whether for new construction or the restoration of existing facilities. This role necessitates 100% travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement safety and quality control measures among team members and subcontractors to guarantee smooth project execution and adherence to timelines.
  • Guide workflow in alignment with the project schedule and relay project priorities to office personnel and subcontractors.
  • Maintain a comprehensive daily log of activities and site conditions, overseeing the punch list and project closeout procedures.
  • Foster positive relationships with all subcontractors and clients.
  • Ensure precise daily documentation of work orders and comprehend subcontractor scopes to minimize unnecessary change orders.

Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of field experience as a construction superintendent in the heavy civil sector.
  • Possess a positive attitude and the ability to inspire team members on-site.
  • Strong background in scheduling and change management.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with scheduling software such as MS Projects, Primavera, or similar tools.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (company provides per diem for travel exceeding 70 miles from home).
