The Inventory Management Specialist is tasked with overseeing and regulating inventory operations while executing administrative duties related to the dispatch of our quality products. Candidates with a background in inventory management and a keen eye for detail are encouraged to consider this opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
(80% of responsibilities)
- Verify all production receipts and resolve discrepancies.
- Execute inventory adjustments and transactions under the supervision of the Inventory Control Manager or senior management.
- Conduct electronic transfers as required.
- Assist in the oversight and management of the cycle counting program.
- Coordinate and engage in all physical inventory counts.
Shipping Duties:
(20% of responsibilities)
- Generate bills of lading for outgoing shipments.
- Prepare all documentation for international shipments.
- Distribute advanced shipping notifications to retail clients.
- Create shipping address labels and UCC 128 labels.
- Maintain ongoing communication with transportation drivers.
- Support the traffic manager with assigned clerical tasks.
- Provide coverage for other clerical roles within the department as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution; or six months to one year of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
- Strong time management and organizational skills are essential.
- Professional demeanor with effective phone communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access).
- Prior experience with Dynamics AX and ERP Software is preferred.
- Experience with inventory control software is advantageous.
