Culinary Specialist

Culinary specialists are sought after by Columbia Woodlands to prepare food to exacting standards and set up stations for menu preparation. Key responsibilities include assisting the executive and sous chef with daily tasks, contributing to customer satisfaction and acquisition goals, and maintaining a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service, including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef's instructions
- Clean up station and manage leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure food is served simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Requirements and Skills:
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook, or Prep Cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiarity with industry's best practices
