We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Solutions Engineer to oversee and enhance our voice communication systems. This role involves the management and upkeep of voice protocols, data systems, and remote telecommunication devices, particularly focusing on Cisco Unified Communications.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer, maintain, and support all telecommunications and VoIP systems, including but not limited to SIP, Cisco Unified Call Manager (PCCE), Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity, IPCC, UCCX, UCCE, CUCI, CAD, and Finesse.
  • Assist in UC fault isolation and performance management as needed.
  • Design and implement monitoring and reporting tools to assess quality metrics essential for evaluating the performance and effectiveness of Enterprise UC services, facilitating continuous improvement.
  • Act as the primary contact for all telecommunications-related inquiries and issues.
  • Oversee SIP Trunks and VoIP Circuits management.
  • Troubleshoot all voice-related services, addressing issues from desktop configurations to systems and contact center scripting.
  • Ensure regular backups of all UC voice systems.
  • Manage upgrades and revisions within the UC voice environment.
  • Develop and execute long-term strategies and capacity planning for future telecommunications hardware and software requirements.
  • Stay informed about emerging products, services, protocols, and standards relevant to telecommunications equipment.
  • Install and support telecommunications infrastructure and associated software, including CIT interfaces, call management systems, voicemail, interactive voice response, call center routing, and video conferencing systems.
  • Configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user telecommunications hardware, telephony devices, and voice/data hardware solutions.
  • Monitor and identify capacity and performance issues in telecommunications traffic to ensure seamless operation of systems.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience with VoIP Telecom Systems and IP protocol applications, including Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity, IPCC, UCCX, UCCE, CUCI, CAD, and Finesse.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or a similar technical discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in Cisco Voice Systems Administration and possession of CCNP Certification.

Preferred Skills:

In-depth knowledge of Cisco Call Manager, IPCC/UCCX Contact Center Scripting, UCCE Programming, CUIC, Expressway, and Finesse. Intermediate understanding of OSI Model layers, IP Routing, and TCP/IP operations.
