Front Desk Agent Job Description

The Front Desk Agent at MCR Hotels is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while managing the administrative processes of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide attentive and courteous service to guests, ensuring a positive stay.
  2. Maintain the telephone switchboard and respond to guest inquiries.
  3. Establish effective communication with fellow associates and other departments.
  4. Respond to guest requests in a timely and professional manner.
  5. Maintain confidentiality and security of guest information.
  6. Document guest requests and follow up to ensure completion and satisfaction.
  7. Be aware of hotel rates, packages, and special promotions.
  8. Be knowledgeable of the front desk computer system.
  9. Log and deliver packages, mail, and messages.
  10. Share knowledge of the property and amenities.
  11. Accurately complete the check-in and checkout process.
  12. Use creative reasoning to overcome guest objections and concerns.
  13. Restock front desk area and supplies as required.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  1. Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  2. Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented.
  3. Problem-solving skills to effectively deal with internal and external customers.
  4. Basic English verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Ability to work in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  6. Basic math skills.
  7. Ability to obtain alcohol awareness certification.
  8. Willingness to work a varied schedule.
  9. Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Company-approved software.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience in a hotel or related field.
  2. Brand knowledge and experience.
