Position Overview

This position is primarily tasked with architecting Oracle EBS application solutions and configuring the system to meet organizational requirements. The individual will also provide programming support for new implementations and maintain or enhance existing applications as necessary. The Senior EBS Developer will execute their responsibilities while adhering to best practice methodologies and tools to facilitate the planning, management, and execution of eBusiness Suite support and initiatives. Collaboration with departmental teams is essential to deliver optimal results. The Senior EBS Developer will work closely with clients to ensure that project deliverables align with the defined scope and budget, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction leading to referenceable clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop functional and technical specifications and documentation for necessary EBS software modifications, implementing these specifications accordingly.
  • Assist in designing software testing strategies and collaborate with users to create and execute test scenarios for business processes utilizing EBS applications.
  • Oversee post-implementation support, including troubleshooting applications, assisting users with operational issues, and providing additional end-user training as required.
  • Engage in additional development tasks, which may include data migrations and integrations with third-party software solutions.
  • Conduct data analysis and generate ad-hoc queries and reports.
  • Perform and coordinate system maintenance activities related to eBusiness Suite, including scheduled jobs.
  • Collaborate with Business Systems Analysts and business users to deliver detailed system insights.
  • Proactively identify challenges and propose solutions.
  • Assess feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definitions, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
  • Guide development teams through project life cycles to ensure successful outcomes within the expected scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Supervise software development to guarantee adherence to quality standards.
  • Execute preparation and installation solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
  • Support application fixes through System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and post-project implementation.
  • Develop solutions ensuring completion, practices, and documentation delivery meet established standards.
  • Manage large-scale project design and solution development.
  • Identify and escalate critical issues as necessary.
  • Spot potential enhancements and proactive support that can improve customer experiences.
  • Participate in regular meetings both internally and with clients.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer with technical and functional team members.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify resolutions to challenges.
  • Exhibit professionalism in all communications with clients.
  • Engage in weekly status meetings and provide updates.
  • Timely entry of weekly timesheets into the appropriate managed services system.
  • Mentor team members.
  • Identify potential enhancements and proactive support that can improve customer experiences.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Implement eBusiness Suite projects and functionalities.
  • Meet with clients to clarify specific project requirements.
  • Provide functional and technical specifications and collaborate with project teams for eBusiness Suite development.
  • Assist with internal eBusiness Suite projects as needed.
  • Maintain project scope.
  • Escalate issues internally when necessary.
  • Recommend solutions based on project needs as they arise.
  • Document project deliverables in accordance with Centrilogic's project methodology.
  • Ensure all deliverables are provided promptly in a consistent format and standard agreed upon at the project's inception.
  • Efficiently identify and resolve project issues.
  • Demonstrate leadership and professionalism.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Extensive experience with multiple EBS implementations and upgrade projects.
  • Experience with managed services support.
  • Ability to work effectively with personnel at all levels, including management.
  • Proficient in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Proven capability to work independently and meet established deadlines.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or Management Information Systems.
  • 5+ years of eBusiness Suite software development experience across various versions.
  • Responsible for both functional SDLC tasks and technical development work in PL/SQL and Java.
  • Proficient in SQL for data modifications.
  • Hands-on experience with XML Publisher and Oracle Reports.
  • Familiarity with modules such as Financials, Procurement, Logistics, Order Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, and Payroll.
  • Experience with AP ACH and AP Positive Pay.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient PC skills, including Excel and Word.
  • Attention to detail with advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective solutions.
  • Responsible for requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Ability to manage menus and migrate changes following standard guidelines.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues following company procedures.

  • Understanding of fundamental design principles for scalable applications.
  • Experience with reporting applications preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with EBS Security preferred.
  • Experience with EBS Mobile applications is a plus.
