Who will you collaborate with?

Shuttlewagon, a GE Transportation Company, is seeking a Parts Analysis Specialist to provide aftersales parts assistance and support to Shuttlewagon Dealers by delivering precise and timely customer service.

This position involves working alongside a highly skilled and experienced team throughout the organization.
How will you contribute?

The Parts Analysis Specialist is tasked with establishing a pathway for Shuttlewagon Dealers to accurately identify replacement parts, thereby minimizing downtime for Shuttlewagon customers.

This role is vital within the Aftersales department, addressing complex parts inquiries, ensuring order precision, and offering comprehensive spare parts solutions.

What qualifications do we seek?
A BA/BS degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
Knowledge of products (heavy equipment parts)
Experience in a service support environment and/or supply chain.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve moderate complexity issues or technical inquiries.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and intermediate proficiency in parts identification.
Strong research and analytical skills with relevant experience.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
Familiarity with industry terminology.
Performance and results-oriented.
Ability to collaborate across all organizational levels.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office.
What does a typical day entail?

The Parts Analysis Specialist:
Provides part numbers, pricing, product availability, and moderately complex technical information to Shuttlewagon Dealers through verbal and/or electronic communication.
Creates, validates, and submits spare parts stock orders for Shuttlewagon Dealers, expedites urgent orders, provides shipment details, and communicates backorder statuses.
Facilitates and monitors the progress of made-in spare parts.

Utilizes knowledge of technical publications and parts manuals, online resources, and internal parts programs to research and compile information for Shuttlewagon Dealers and/or internal stakeholders.

Responds to parts research requests in a dynamic environment.
Applies parts recognition experience and mechanical knowledge to meet expectations.
Utilizes the ERP system and other company databases and programs to ensure accurate and timely customer service.
Employs customer service experience to address inquiries promptly and accurately.

Develops strong working relationships with Shuttlewagon partner organizations to ensure alignment on data requirements, deadlines, and overall fulfillment of needs.

Identifies key replacement parts for existing and/or new products.
Gathers product details from engineering and secondary product groups.
Engages in frequent communication (both verbal and written) with development engineering teams, desktop publishing, and product suppliers.
Identifies and addresses knowledge gaps through targeted training.
Validates spare parts application information.
Provides support for ad hoc projects as needed.

Working Conditions

Work primarily involves light duties and requires the ability to regularly lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds.

This position necessitates the ability to sit, stand, and walk unassisted. It requires the use of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee must be able to talk and hear. Normal correctable vision is required.
