Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Adult Medicine Services Unit on PAV A 10th Floor at UK Chandler Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive care for adult patients with complex needs, including pulmonary, renal, cardiac, vascular, and neurological conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, document, plan, implement, teach, develop, and evaluate a comprehensive nursing plan of care
  • Deliver direct patient care, ensuring patient satisfaction and adherence to University policies and procedures
  • Train and delegate duties for Nursing Care Technicians (Nursing Assistant)
  • Collaborate with the nursing staff and team of physicians to increase communication and enhance expected patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Active Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) license, Temporary Work Permit (TWP), Provisional License, or active compact state Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification for the Healthcare Provider valid for at least 6 months after employment date
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull pounds on a daily basis and 25-50 pounds frequently; stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN + AT LEAST 1 YEAR OF RN EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
