Clinical Support Specialist

Baptist Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Clinical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing clinical support to providers within one of our clinical practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating direct patient care activities
  • Obtaining vital signs and medication reconciliation
  • Expediting patient flow and rooming patients
  • Stocking clinic supplies and navigating electronic health record systems
  • Scheduling appointments and assisting with medication fill and refill requests

Additionally, you may perform procedures such as EKG, phlebotomy, lab tests, and injections, once competency has been assessed.

Proactively obtaining missing information from patients to ensure accurate and up-to-date medical records is essential.

Basic computer skills, specifically with navigating databases containing confidential information, are required. Basic Life Support and other advanced training will be provided within 90 days.

Prior working experience in a medical office or clinic performing clinical duties is preferred. A Certified Medical Assistant from the National Health Career Association (NHA) or a graduate of an accredited LPN or RN program with current licensure without restrictions is also acceptable.
